Habitat × Margo Selby returns with a kaleidoscopic AW25 collection—bold color, retro lighting, and the ‘Buster’ print

Newsroom+ · Updated October 27, 2025

British textile designer Margo Selby is back at Habitat with an exclusive autumn/winter 2025 line that translates her woven geometry into lighting, bedding, cushions and rugs—offering an upbeat, maximalist route to brighten the season.

What’s new—and why it pops

The AW25 capsule centers on Selby’s signature geometry—stripes, checks and circles—applied across soft goods and lighting. The instant hero is the bobbin lamp family, whose stacked-sphere bases echo the tools of weaving, paired with patterned shades; the compact Hibberd portable lamp brings a cheerful “mushroom” profile you can place anywhere. The collection also expands the studio’s woven Buster motif into rugs and cushions alongside graphic bedding sets.

  • Lighting Bobbin floor/table lamps and the portable Hibberd lamp headline the drop.
  • Textiles ‘Buster’ rugs and cushions join bedding in new colorways; additional prints include Heriward, Ned, Leslie and Janie.
  • Price Pieces are priced for accessibility, starting around £10 (hand towels) up to £180 (large rugs).
  • Availability Rolling out online via Habitat and Argos (select items also in Sainsbury’s home aisles) this month.

From loom to lamp: the design story

Selby’s process—methodical, linear weaving—shows up not just in the graphic textiles but in the lighting’s “pattern‑as‑sculpture” approach. As Selby notes, she enjoyed “exploring pattern in sculptural form with the Bobbin Lamp” and reimagining a yarn cone for the Hibberd portable. Head of Design Andrew Tanner frames the partnership as one that “celebrates the quality of Margo’s woven techniques and signature printed textiles,” channeling the brand’s sixty‑year legacy of color‑forward British design.

How to style the look

  • Let lighting do the talking. Use a patterned drum shade to anchor a reading nook; the small Hibberd lamp is great for shelves and consoles where cords are messy.
  • Color block with restraint. Pick one lead hue from a Buster textile (say teal or tomato red) and echo it in a side table, throw, or art print for cohesion.
  • Pattern drench, the easy way. If full wallpaper is a step too far, pair a printed shade with a matching cushion and bath sheet to “wrap” a corner in one motif.

Where to buy

Items are arriving in waves online via Habitat and Argos, with select pieces in Sainsbury’s stores. Expect highlights like the Buster Bobbin floor lamp (~£140) and Hibberd portable (~£30), alongside rugs (up to ~£180), cushions, bedding and towels.
